Archbishop Chaput Warns of False "Abortion Reduction Strategies"

An excellent CNA article here covers Archbishop's statements made at a recent Ireland Pro-Life Conference. One major eye-opening statement in what needs to be done to advance the Pro-Life movement is our willingness to be martyrs, to "pay the ultimate price." Sobering and necessary.

How Much Does God Love You?

One particular band I love is "Casting Crowns". Below is a song "Who am I?" which puts the love of God in perspective. Though we are nothing in comparison to the glory and majesty of God, with our tendency to sin, we are loved greatly, deeply, completely and infinitely. We are loved as much as God is love. Simply awesome. Enjoy and worship our Christ, Lord and Friend where you are.

Hey, Frs. Joel and Benjamin Sember have a blogsite worth looking at. Check it out here.

How to Avoid Raising Fragile People

This is a great article by Catholic News Agency regarding statements made by Cardinal Camillo Ruini that is worth reading. He sees education demanding discipline, freedom and learning to suffer. Wow. I wonder if we have the stomach for it? Give it a read and let us ponder this together, shall we?

Bad News for the Diocese of Scranton

Well, dear hearts, it looks like the consolidation movement of Catholic parishes is continuing, with no let up in sight. Now it's the Diocese of Scranton, which will close almost HALF of its parishes. A very bad omen.

No doubt this is a good economic strategy, if the economic integrity of an entire diocese is at stake. However, the strategy offered by the Holy Father in the New Evangelization needs to be taken seriously and is the only way to stem the tide of parish closings. WE. MUST. EVANGELIZE. CATHOLICS. WITH. THE. CATHOLIC. GOSPEL. Period. So much of the economic stress is due to the lack of converted bodies...humans...people whose hearts are open, devoted to Jesus, to His mission and to His Church.

From an economic standpoint, if we don't fill parishes with warm bodies who are willing to support parishes, the blood letting will continue. If we don't convert heart and soul to the mission to which we have been baptized, the halls of heaven will be void of the people that could and should be there. Lord...help us reach your goal for the salvation of mankind!

How Obama Got the "Catholic" Vote:

I've been enjoying Michael Voris on realcatholictv.com. Monday's edition is eye opening on a recent Gallop pole that sheds light on the most Catholic states of the Union. Listen to what he says:

St. Louis Archbishop Rocks!!

Kuddos to Archbishop Hermann, who picks up where Archbishop Burke left off when he moved to the Vatican. Here's what Michael Voris has to say on the Vortex:
